Commonly referred to as “The Valley of the Shepherd”, Pahalgam is truly paradise for nature-lovers, looking for soulful serenity. The journeys to the different destinations mentioned below will take you through wonderfully hilly roads, from where you will also be able to witness the cascading beauty of the gorgeously clear Lidder River. Nestled between India, Nepal and Myanmar, lies the unique country of Bangladesh – a country that very few tourists know about: the land of smiles, the land of the royal Bengal tiger, the season of kites battling each other in the sky, the paradise waiting for bird-watchers to visit, the acres and acres of tea gardens mingling with waterfalls nearby, the numerous tribal villages with their unique customs and way of life, the longest beach in the world – the list goes on and on.
There are some other amazing attractions to visit in Pokhara, but we decided to skip them because we opted for the adventure activities that Pokhara had to offer. The beauty of Pokhara lies in its easy accessibility. Everything within the centre of Pokhara is easily accessible by foot, and the views of the lake will ensure that you don’t feel tired or fatigued.
At 6 am on the dot, we followed our guide to a small bus which was to be our 3 hour ride to the Last Resort. With scenic views along the way and a delightful mid-way tea break spot, the ride was flawless and before we knew it, we had reached our destination.
